2nd North America Genba Kaizen Seminar January 18-22, 2010

In January eighteen individuals from six companies from around the United States and Canada came together at Allsteel in Muscatine, Iowa to participate in the hands on seminar. The week began with learning kaizen basics and then the teams headed to the Genba. Teamed with workers from Allsteel each participant was able to take the concepts learned on day one and make immediate changes for the targeted areas. The five teams worked during the week to improve quality, create flow, and remove waste. The Shingijutsu Sensei (teachers) spent the week working closely with the participants to create a base of knowledge that they could draw from when working continuous improvement projects in their own organization or companies.
